Lead Concentrate

Chromium is a metallic element with atomic number 24 and atomic weight 51.996. Chromium, one of the natural components of the earth's crust, is one of the basic elements of metallurgy, chemistry and refractory industry. The only mineral from which chromium metal can be produced economically is chromite. The theoretical formula of the shiny black, dark gray colored chromite is FeCr204. The most important area of use is ferrochrome production. Ferrochrome is one of the main raw materials of stainless steel. The chromium oxide layer it forms covers the steel surface like a film and provides resistance against chemical corrosion. Since chromium is very hard and its melting point is 1857 °C, it is used to provide hardness to metals and to make armored vehicles. It is also used in the refractory and chemical industries. Chromium was first discovered in Anatolia in 1848 by Lawrence Smith near Bursa Harmancık district. As CVK Madencilik, we produce high grade, high quality, directly exportable commercial chrome lump ore with high grade and ratio in our quarries in Bursa Harmancık. We also produce high grade and high ratio Concentrated Chrome Ore in our modern chrome concentrate plant, also located in Harmancık.
